About SRM University

Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University also known as SRM University is a co-educational private university in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It was formerly known as SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It was founded in the year 1985 as SRM Engineering College in Kattankulathur, under University of Madras. SRM University has four campuses in Tamil Nadu — Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and NCR in Delhi. The institute attained deemed status during the 2003-2004 academic year and was renamed as SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It became SRM University in the year 2006. SRM University conducts SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) to provide admissions into various courses like B.tech, BArch, MTech, MBA, MCA as well as health sciences. SRMJEEE 2025 exam will be held only in the online mode from April 19 to April 25, 2025.
